| Description | The largest private space on the ship, which is not saying much. A rack sized for actual sleep rather than survival, a personal workstation with a direct feed to the bridge and ship systems, and a shelf — the only shelf in the private quarters on this ship. What's on it is the CO's business. That it exists at all is a quiet assertion of permanence. WORKSTATION Direct bridge feed · full ship systems access STORAGE LOCKER Uniforms, personal gear SHELF Personal effects. CO only. Not in the XO quarters. SHARED HEAD Starboard hatch to shared head with XO · Occupancy indicator light SECURE COMMS TERMINAL Dedicated encrypted line to CSIC and SAD command. Separate from the ship's standard comms array. Conversations do not appear in the ship's comms log. The XO does not have equivalent access from their quarters. The crew knows the terminal is there. They do not ask about it. SHARED HEAD — CO / XO ONLY Accessed through hatches on the adjoining bulkheads of both quarters — starboard from the CO's side, port from the XO's. Toilet and shower. A small indicator light above each hatch shows occupancy. By convention this is respected. The CO and XO have not discussed the arrangement in any recorded log entry, which suggests it is working. |
